Automated Solid Phase Extraction Method for the Determination of Pesticides in Tea using GC-MS/MS

This application note describes the analytical method for determining herbicides and fungicides in tea using the Gilson GX-271 Liquid Handler with 402 Dual with Tee Syringe Pump and TRILUTION^® LH Liquid Handling Software. Tea crops have both worldwide economic impact and widespread consumption due to their specific aroma as well as the promised health benefits, especially for green tea. During cultivation and storage, various pesticides are widely used, however, these have been found in tea at later stages in many cases, indicating the need for more adequate analysis.
