Brownlee Superficially Porous Particle (SPP) HPLC Columns

This note introduces Superficially Porous Particle (SPP) columns. It outlines the advantages of Brownlee SPP columns over traditional HPLC columns such as reduced Eddy diffusion and reduced solute mass transfer. A performance comparison is made between SPP and 5μm columns as well as SPP and sub-2μm UHPLC columns.
