Characterization of Heavy Recombinant Proteins for Use as Internal Standards in Quantitative MS Workflows

11 May 2014

Stable isotope labeled (SIL) or heavy standards have been used in quantitative MS for several decades. This work described in this poster characterizes several heavy proteins, looking at purity, incorporation of the heavy isotope, PTM’s, binding profiles to antibody and digestion time course profiles. The heavy proteins are shown to be sufficiently similar to be useful as internal standards for quantitative MS.
