Chromatin Immunoprecipitation: Using the PureSpeed System

4 Oct 2017

Staph A cells, which are fixed cells with a high density of protein A on their surface, are commonly used in ChIP assays. Like protein A and G affinity resins, they can bind antibodies associated with chromatin complexes prior to washing and eluting pure protein DNA complexes. In this set of experiments, PureSpeed ProA tips and Staph A cells were tested for their ability to immunoprecipitate chromatin associated with histone H3 acetylated on lysine 27.
