Comparison of Analyte Recoveries Using AtlanticTM and 3M EmporeTM C18 SPE Disks for EPA Method 1657

28 Sept 2015

EPA Method 1657 describes the procedure to determine low ppb levels of organophosphorous pesticides in wastewater. SPE is an approved technique for analyte extraction of wastewater samples. The primary extraction solvent is hexane. Extracts are analyzed by GC/FPD using a splitless injection technique. The disks compared in this study are as follows: “Certified for Automation” AtlanticTM C18 (47 mm) and 3M EmporeTM High Performance Extraction Disk C18 (47mm). Comparisons were made using side-by-side extraction and identical calibration parameters.
