Confirming the pharmaceutical equivalence of Oral Solid Dose (OSD) products using MDRS

In this technical note, Malvern Panalytical explores the application of the Morphologi^® 4-ID and Morphologically-Directed Raman Spectroscopy (MDRS^®) to bioequivalence studies. Using MDRS, two orally-administered cold and flu remedies were analyzed and compared in terms of particle size distribution, shape distribution and overall composition, prior to a further comparison between individual components within the two formulations.
