Crude Fiber Determination in Tea using VELP Scientifica’s FIWE 3 Fiber Analyzer

Fiber is the part of fruits and vegetables (lignin, cellulose, hemicellulose, pectin) that cannot be digested and assimilated by the human gastrointestinal tract. It is however important to maintain digestive health and function and authorities of almost all countries require manufacturers of food & feed products to declare the fiber content as part of the nutritional table. The crude fiber content of tea is determined in this application note using Velp Scientifica’s FIWE 3 Fiber Analyzer.
