Curing Determination of EVA for Solar Panel Application by DSC
5 Apr 2016Solar energy is the fastest growing industry in renewable energy, it uses a solar cell which converts sunlight directly into electricity. These solar cells are encapsulated by a polymer encapsulant. The encapsulent protects the cell from environmental risks, such as moisture and temperature stress, and providing mechanical support. A common material for the encapsulant is EVA (ethylene-vinyl-acetate). This application note from PerkinElmer looks at the characteristics which make EVA a good material for this application.
