Determination of Fatty Acid Methyl Ester and Triglyceride in Mixture of Biodiesel Fuel and Diesel Fuel Using JASCO's LC-2000 Plus Series Modular Components
23 Jun 2015Carbon dioxide exhausted from the combustion of biodiesel in a diesel engine is reabsorbed by plants through photosynthesis, offsetting the amount of carbon dioxide consumed by the plant material: carbon neutrality. As a result, determination of fatty acid methyl esters and triglycerides in fuel is now of increased interest. This application note details the use of JASCO LC 2000 Plus series modular components in the measurement of fatty acid methyl ester and triglyceride in mixture of biodiesel fuel and diesel fuel. The LC-2000Plus Series is JASCO's latest development in High Performance Liquid Chromatography, meeting the key requirements of today's analytical laboratory.
