Determination of Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons by Accelerated Solvent Extraction and GC-FID

This application note describes a method for determination of total petroleum hydrocarbons in rubble and soil using accelerated solvent extraction. This technique reduces the time and solvent required for extraction of organic contaminants from solid samples compared to more traditional methods.
