Determining Detection Limits of Infinite® Multimode Readers Using the Glowell™ GLO-466 Standard

20 Mar 2015

Gaseous luminescence standards – such as Glowell standards – are certified calibration reference materials offering a stable, pre-measured light output generated by a chemical light source. This application note determines the luminescence detection limits of Infinite series multimode readers using a gaseous standard measured in a black microplate. Determining the detection limit in this way provides an artificial measure of instrument performance, as the signal-to-noise is limited to almost zero.
