Developments in Lab Scale Lyophilization

2 Oct 2017

Lyophilization, or freeze drying, has been used to dry samples in the laboratory for a number of years. Lyophilization is often a prefered method of drying as it achieves a very high level of dryness with low residual solvent levels and because of light, powdery finish of the sample enabling the sample to be easily removed and weighted out. Unfortunately there are a number of problems and limitations associated with Lyophilization. This application note presents the results of research done in the Genevac laboratory to develop the best solution to these problems.
