Does Antithrombin III Block the Action of a Monoclonal Anti-Thrombin Antibody?

12 Feb 2017

This application note investigates the interaction between human thrombin-α (Thr), antithrombin III (AT), and an anti-thrombin monoclonal antibody. Composition gradient light scattering (CG-MALS) and size-exclusion chromatography coupled to multi-angle light scattering (SEC-MALS) are used to quantify different types of interactions between the proteins. Thus, probing macromolecular interactions by light scattering provides a robust, complementary biophysical technique for understanding complex protein-interaction networks.
