Efficient Transfection of Human Primary Cells and Cell Lines Using the 4D-Nucleofector™ X Unit for Subsequent Culture in the RAFT™ 3D Cell Culture System

This application note demonstrates how to combine Lonza’s electroporation-based Nucleofector^TM Technology with culturing transiently transfected cells in the RAFT^TM 3D Cell Culture System. Electroporation is a transfection technology based on the momentary creation of small pores in cell membranes by applying an electrical pulse. Lonza’s Nucleofector^TM Technology is an improved electroporation technology that can be used to transfect primary cells, stem cells and hard-to-transfect cell lines.
