EIS: Potentiostatic or Galvanostatic Mode?

Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) measurements are often performed in potentiostatic mode rather than in galvanic mode. Usually, both of these modes are equivalent, however, sometimes results from the two techniques may differ.This application note evaluates both techniques for testing batteries.
