Equine <em>in vivo</em> metabolite profiling of the selective androgen receptor modulator LGD-3303 for doping control

In this application note, Thermo Fisher Scientific investigates LGD-3303, a banned substance in equine and human sports due to its anabolic properties. The study administered 0.05 mg⋅kg⁻¹ LGD-3303 orally to horses and analyzed blood and urine samples up to 96 hours post-administration. Utilizing ultra-high performance liquid chromatography coupled with a Q Exactive^™ Orbitrap^™ mass spectrometer, the study identified eight LGD-3303 metabolites, including carboxylated and hydroxylated forms in combination with glucuronic acid conjugates.
