Evaluation of cosmetic sunscreens using a spectroscopic SPF/PA measurement system

In this application note, an SPF/PA evaluation system based on the ISO standards was used to calculate the SPF and the PA values from the transmittance spectra of sunscreens using a UV-visible spectrophotometer. A special cell was developed and used to reproduce the application of sunscreen at a rate of 2 μL per 1 cm².
