Evaluation of New Chemiluminescent Immunoassays for the Determination of HSV-1 and HSV-2 IgG

4 Jun 2014

The serology for detecting type specific herpes simplex virus (HSV) responses is based on the use of HSV-1 and HSV-2 respective glycoprotein G, gG1 and gG2. Recently, new chemiluminescent immunoassays using specific gG (BIO-FLASH® HSV-1 IgG and BIO-FLASH® HSV-2 IgG, Biokit, Spain) have been developed. This poster presents a study to evaluate the performance of these assays using as reference, well characterised indirect ELISAs and immunoblot.
