Exploring biomonitoring of short chain PFAs

17 Oct 2024

While concerns about the adverse effects of long-chain per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) on human health have led to increased biomonitoring, less is known about the potential toxicity of ultrashort-chain PFAS. Human exposure to ultrashort-chain (C1 to C3) PFAS and their potential adverse health effects are poorly understood. Explore an innovative methodology for the simultaneous analysis of C1 to C10 carboxylic and sulfonic acid PFAS, along with four alternative compounds, in human plasma and serum samples.
