Food Packaging Analysis: A New HS-GC/TOF-MS Approach to Increase Sensitivity and Decrease Time

Increased awareness of food safety has lead to the monitoring and regulation of food products being one of the most important applications for analytical chemistry. Food packaging can be a possible source of contamination if toxic substances are transferred to the foodstuff. This application note demonstrates use of the Master SHS Static Headspace Sampling, which can be used with liquid or solid samples, for the extraction of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) from water or oil.
