Formation of Spheroids and Suppression of Adhesion by Adherent Growing Cells in inertGrade™ Microplates

11 Nov 2016

Suppression of the integrin mediated cell adhesion is vital in many experimental procedures, such as the production of embryonic bodies, self-assembled 3D cultures, and tumor spheroids. This application note describes a study in which BRANDplates® interGrade™ microplates where used to successfully suppress adhesion of a variety of adherent growing cell lines. The study also compares interGrade™ to competitor cell-repellent surfaces and found that when using interGrade™, larger numbers of smaller aggregates form and are uniformly distributed over the entire well surface when using.
