Functional gene knockout using synthetic guide RNA

A challenge with using synthetic sgRNAs is the longer length compared to the shorter synthetic crRNA tracrRNA combination. In addition, there have been reports that the efficiency of gene editing differs when using a sgRNA compared to crRNA:tracrRNA.

In this application note, Horizon Discovery evaluated synthetic sgRNA or crRNA:tracrRNA and demonstrated robust, and equivalent gene knockout in human-derived cells.
