Immunoaffinity Enrichment and Quantification of Serum Proteins Using Stable Isotope Labeled Proteins as Internal Standards

12 May 2014

The plasma/serum proteome affords the possibility of identifying new biomarkers for disease identification, state, and progression, as well as the ability to monitor drug efficacy and off-target effects. When coupled with immunoaffinity (IA) enrichment prior to analysis, LC-MS/MS has become a powerful tool in biomarker elucidation and quantification. This poster describes IA enrichment with the use of EPO as a representative stable isotope labeled protein serving as the internal standard.
