LC/MS/MS Analysis of Diuretics in Urine: Prevent Matrix Interference with Proper Column Choice

12 Sept 2010

This application note shows how choosing a selective, retentive, and inert RP-HPLC column can improve the quality of analytical data for analysing diuretics in urine. Because of its high degree of unique aromatic selectivity based on pi-pi interactions, the Ultra II® Biphenyl column can retain hydrophilic aromatic compounds better than phenyl hexyl columns, while still achieving a fast, 8-minute run time including re-equilibration.
