Low Volume Measurement of RNA Using the Colibri Microvolume Spectrometer

1 Jan 2015

Measurements of nucleic acids in microvolumes have become a routine operation in many life science laboratories. As the nitrogeneous bases in nucleotides absorb light at 260 nm, this wavelength can be used to determine RNA concentration. This application note presents data demonstrating the ability of the Colibri microvolume spectrometer to produce excellent linearity and sensitivity down to 1ng/μL RNA.
