Measuring of Macromolecular Interactions Using Composition‐Gradient Multi‐Angle Light Scattering (CG-MALS)

In vivo, biomolecular therapeutics may participate in complex interactions with their protein or DNA targets that can reduce the efficacy of these products. This application note describes how composition gradient multi-angle light scattering (CG-MALS), automated by Calypso II hardware, can be used to quantify macromolecular associations between Cre recombinase and loxP DNA without requiring modifications that could interfere with the interaction. This is a simple, robust technique can be applied to a host of macromolecular interactions.
