Modeling Cancer Cell Migration and Invasion Using Novel Technology for Three Dimensional Cell Culture

1 May 2013

Cancer is characterized by unregulated and abnormal cell growth in which cells divide uncontrollably, forming malignant tumors, and invade into adjacent tissues. A major aspect of cancer research is the development and application of suitable experimental models to investigate specific elements of the disease process. This application note demonstrates the use physiologically relevant models to study the migration of cells as models of cancer cell invasion.
