Multiplex Assays of Fifteen Human Complement Factors

Multiplex Assays of Fifteen Human Complement Factors

18 Feb 2016

The complement system consists of a large number of plasma proteins that assist, or complement, the ability of phagocytic cells and antibodies to clear pathogens. The complement system consists of three different simultaneous pathways and because of the potential to be extremely damaging to host tissues, complement system activation must be tightly controlled. This poster demonstrates a method to assess levels of multiple complement proteins simultaneously in patient serum or plasma to determine “complement profiles” of disease using Luminex xMAP® technology and two MILLIPLEX® MAP Complement panels
