Nickel Ore Processing

The analysis of nickel concentrate, filter cake, furnace matte and furnace slag is demonstrated in this note. The technique highlighted is shown to be ideal for monitoring the entire processing cycle. The sample preparation method, calibration and standards, and the qualitative analysis are presented. The empirical approach demonstrated is also discussed.
