PathHunter™ ß-arrestin Flash Assay with Mithras LB 940

This application note describes how the PathHunter™ Flash Detection Kit can detect ß-arrestin recruitment by a GPCR in 30 seconds. The speed of this ß-arrestin chemiluminescent assays, unlike lengthy reporter gene assays, greatly minimize the opportunity for off-target effects. The Mithras LB 940, a multimode plate reader with a unique optical design which ensures optimized performance, is used to detect bioluminescence produced in the assay. Therefore, the PathHunter™ Flash assay provides the ability to read the signal within much shorter time than with the glow-type format.
