Preserving Endogenous Fluorescent Protein Signals for Volumetric Imaging Using the X-CLARITY™Systems and Reagents for Tissue Clearing

9 May 2018

Current solvent-based tissue clearing techniques require dehydration of the tissue, thus preventing the preservation of fluorescent protein signals. Whilst some techniques avoid this, they are time-consuming and limited to smaller samples. This application note details how the X-CLARITY systems for tissue clearing, by Logos Biosystems, are highly compatible with fluorescent protein imaging, and demonstrates the process on Adult Thy1-YFP mice brains in a step-by-step format.
