Protein Solutions: Infrared (IR) Laser Utility

5 Dec 2016

This application note demonstrates how the use of an Infrared (IR) laser as the light source in a miniDAWN detector can characterize allophycocyanin (APC), a fluorescent protein. The experiment uses a miniDAWN MALS detector equipped with a 50mW IR laser (λ=785nm) to measure the molar mass of the APC protein following separation by size exclusion chromatography.
