Quantification of Glyphosate and AMPA in Drinking Water
4 Oct 2016The broad-spectrum herbicide glyphosate is a suspected carcinogen which has led to limit values for glyphosate in drinking water being imposed in many countries. This white paper details separation of glyphosate and AMPA (a metabolite of glyphosate) in the Metrosep Carb 2 separation column using an Ion Chromatography (IC) system consisting of a 940 Professional IC Vario ONE with pulsed amperometric detection (flexIPAD). This method detects very low concentrations and is reliable and inexpensive in comparison to HPLC (High Performance Liquid Chromatography).
