Reducing the Hematocrit Effect for Dried Blood Spot Analysis

Hematocrit (Hct) levels in human blood vary due to gender, disease state, age and medications and can impact the spread and size of dried blood spots, which cause discordance in analytical quantitation. In this study, the authors developed an innovative fan form to reduce analytical effects and compared this to traditional spots.
