Sample preparation method for investigation of CrZn coating thickness

This application note provides instructions for preparing a received ring segment with a CrZn coating for coating thickness measurement. The sample was cut with a Brillant 220, mounted with Qpress 50, and then ground and polished with Qpol 250 A1. The method used for each step is provided, along with the equipment and consumables used. Figures are also provided to show the sample in various stages of preparation.
