Semi-Quantitative Imaging and Analysis of Fluorescent Molecule/Particle Targeting and Biodistribution in Mice

13 Jan 2016

This application note provides a review of three types of targeting and biodistribution analysis using the Bruker In-Vivo Multispectral FX PRO and the Bruker In-Vivo Xtreme. Bruker In-Vivo systems combine high-sensitivity optical molecular imaging, radioisotopic imaging, and high resolution digital X-ray, and have been employed extensively in mouse studies that examine the biodistribution of fluorescent species from molecules to nanoparticles. These studies have included a wide range of probe specificity and disease models including tumor, arthritis, neurological, and infectious agent specific probes. Furthermore, a detailed biodistribution profile of a non-targeted fluorescent nanoparticle has also been reported.
