Spectral Unmixing with Sony Spectral Analyzers

Conventional filter-based flow cytometers use band-pass filters and single-channel PMTs to collect cytometric data, whereas Sony's spectral analyzers incorporate prism technology to improve the visualization of fluoroscent populations, and most importantly, reduce spectral mixing. This application note discusses the methods and benefits of spectral analysis, in comparison to more traditional flow cytometry technology and compensation calculations.
