Synthesis of Biodiesel - Extraction and Transesterification in a Single Step

This application note highlights a novel approach for the direct extraction of lipids from dry biomass and the subsequent transesterifications of algal biomass into biodiesel using microwave-assisted heating in supercritical ethanol.
