The Basics of Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy: Part 1
4 Nov 2016This application note is a the first in a four-part series which explains the basics of Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) and how it can be applied to the testing of batteries, fuel cells coating and corrosive reactions. This first part explains the AC Circuit Theory and the representation of complex impedance values. It goes onto describe how this data can be presented using Nyquist plots and discusses the linearity of electrochemistry systems.
