The Perfect Print: Latent Fingerprint Processing with Ductless Chambers

27 Jun 2017

In forensic science, accurate, repeatable results solve crimes. Latent fingerprinting is a common method of making invisible fingerprints visible. Cyanoacrylate reacts with trace chemicals excreted through the pores in the fingertip to produce an image of the entire latent fingerprint. Safefume™ Cyanoacrylate fuming chambers are designed to safely develop latent fingerprints using ethyl cyanoacrylate (CNA) vapor in a controlled environment for optimum effectiveness and safety, where moisture and fuming time are critical factors.
