Thermo Scientific Phire Animal Tissue Direct PCR Kit: Genotyping Transgenic Mice

Gene transfer into mice is extensively used to study the roles of genes in development, physiology and human disease. Screening for the presence of transgene’s necessitates traditionally time consuming DNA isolation for PCR. This study examines the protocol for direct DNA amplification from animal tissues for the purpose of PCR genotyping of transgenic mice and compares the results with conventional commercial systems.
