Ultrafast Statistical Profiling of Bacterial Metabolite Extracts

This application note describes the “Ultrafast Statistic Profiling” (USP) workflow; a rapid method for distinguishing and identifying characteristic compounds in complex mixtures. Using USP, a series of metabolite extracts from myxobacterial isolates were analyzed by direct infusion Electrospray Fourier Transform Ion Cyclotron Resonance Mass Spectrometry (ESI-FT-ICR-MS), without LC separation. Statistical analysis like principle component analysis (PCA) is used to determine compounds unique to each sample.
