Unlocking the Archive – Chromatrap® ChIP from Formalin Fixed Paraffin Embedded (FFPE) Tissue

The chromatin from preserved tissues from biopsies provides the field of epigenetics with a vast archive of information about histone modifications transcription factor occupation of gene promoters in a multitude of disease states. This application note describes how the Chromatrap® FFPE ChIP kit can aid extraction and analysis of chromatin from both human and animal tissue preserved using FFPE. This article highlights the benefits of Chromatrap® FFPE ChIP kit including efficient extraction, high yields of chromatin, shorter protocols and high throughput capability.
