Use of upcyte® Human Hepatocytes for Drug-Drug Interaction Studies

This application note describes how upcyte® Human Hepatocytes, cultured in a 2D monolayer format using 48-well plates, were used to investigate the induction and inhibition potential of known CYP inducers and inhibitors. It shows that upcyte® cells are a promising alternative to primary human hepatocytes with which to test the drug interaction potential of novel compounds.
