PentaVac - 21st Century Vacuum Technology

In this video Mark Donaghy discusses how PentaVac™, a brand new Vacuum technology developed by Raptor Photonics, enables its range of cameras to be deep cooled, as low as Δ-111°C. At this temperature dark current is negligible allowing long exposures and ultra-sensitivity. Mark tells SelectScience about some of the applications that will benefit from the long exposure times permitted with this new technology, including chemiluminescence and fluorescence imaging.
