Photometric quality control in cell and gene therapy

In cell and gene therapy, high quality and pure DNA and proteins are of utmost importance. UV-Vis spectrophotometry can be used to analyze bacterial cultures, viruses, plasmids and proteins, using a technique based on the absorbance of light. Spirig demonstrates how easily such a purity measurement can be done with just one droplet of DNA sample, obtaining concentration and purity results directly on the display.
