PhyNexus High Performance Immunoprecipitation
8 Jan 2018In life science research, it is often necessary to isolate specific proteins from natural sources in order to study them. A method commonly used for this is immunoprecipitation (IP). In IP, researchers use antibodies to bind to a protein of interest. These antibody-protein complexes are isolated from the complex sample using protein A (ProA) or protein G (ProG) affinity resin. After washing nonspecifically bound proteins away, the antibody-protein complex is eluted from the resin prior to further analysis. High Performance Immunoprecipitation (HPIP) enables the process to be easily automated for high throughput using PhyTip® purification columns and robotic liquid handling systems.
