WebinarForensics
Form follows function: Working with, not against, your biosafety cabinet
This webinar first explains the basic functioning of a Class II, Type A2 biosafety cabinet and how it provides protection. The presentation then proceeds to explain how, in light of that knowledge, a cabinet operator should work in the cabinet so as not to interfere with the airflow and other features that provide biocontainment for that operator.
Learning objectives:
- The learner will be able to explain not just “what” protection the cabinet provides but also “how” the cabinet provides three different types of protection.
- The learner will understand what to take into account when installing a cabinet in a location where it is best positioned for best performance.
