GC carrier gas: Top ten ways to save helium

The cost of helium and the increasing supply limitations has led some gas chromatography (GC) laboratories to look for alternative carrier gases to reduce helium reliance.

Tools that are part of all Agilent GCs can help with method development for a new carrier gas, and limit the waste of gas used. Accessories available for Agilent GCs range from gas sensors to helium conservation.

In this webinar, Eric Phillips and Jamie Watuski both from Agilent Technologies, will present 10 tools and accessories that Agilent provides to help GC operators and lab managers more easily conserve helium or move to an alternate carrier gas for gas chromatography. They will also discuss how these tools and accessories can be used effectively in the GC lab.

Key learning objectives

  • Learn how to conserve helium when moving to an alternative carrier gas cannot be made
  • Understand how Agilent simplifies moving to an alternate carrier gas
  • Explore how the tools that re available can help with transitioning the method
  • Discover how intelligent instruments make sure there are no leaks

Who should attend?

  • GC operators and lab managers interested in either conserving helium or moving to an alternate carrier gas

Certificate of attendance
All webinar participants can request a certificate of attendance, including a learning outcomes summary, for continuing education purposes.
