Genedata Biologics at the center of Sanofi’s large molecules research
In this SelectScience webinar, Dr. Katja Kroll, Digital Biologics Platform Site Lead, will explain how Sanofi has established a global data governance strategy to promote best data practices within Sanofi’s Large Molecules Research Organization. Discover how this approach empowers Sanofi’s teams along their R&D workflows covering protein design, expression, purification, and testing to undertake best data practices.
By using Genedata Biologics as their data backbone to ensure data quality and company-wide access, explore how Sanofi has been able to establish FAIR data practices and integrate, connect, and unify its diverse data streams onto a single, high-quality platform. How Sanofi’s investment in a central data and automation platform has allowed them to get the most value out of their data as well as to implement machine learning and artificial intelligence-based approaches to support data-driven decision making will also be discussed.
Key learning objectives
- Implement a core platform to harmonize and structure data using common data architecture
- Have instant access to high-quality data across the organization
- Eliminate data silos and enable use of data sets across multiple projects
- Leverage data to feed ML/AI based models
- Ensure existing data sets are structured and stored for use in future projects
- Create a single framework that is easy to maintain and reduces IT overhead
Who should attend?
- Data scientists struggling with insufficient data quality and lack of data traceability
- Biopharma R&D managers who want to implement AI/ML effectively in drug development
- Quality assurance staff trying to handle the increasing complexity of advanced technologies and multimodal data
- Lab scientists seeking to increase throughput and minimize errors
- IT managers tasked with obtaining maximum business value from data assets
Certificate of attendance
All webinar participants can request a certificate of attendance, including a learning outcomes summary, for continuing education purposes
Speakers
Katja Kroll received her Ph.D. in Molecular Biochemistry at the Max Planck Institute for Experimental Medicine in Göttingen. After working as a lab head in protein production, she switched her focus to the production and engineering of novel protein biotherapeutics, including CODV, antibody fusions, and other multispecifics. In 2017, she helped migrate Sanofi's legacy database to Genedata Biologics and became involved in data topics and project management. In 2021, after 2 years as a lab head in high throughput protein-based screening from production to functional assays, Katja is now Sanofi's Digital Biologics Site Lead in Large Molecule Research.
